The Taluka Nazim is head of the Taluka Administration and shall Exercise such function and powers as have been assigned in the ordinance 2001.
which promulgate the Sindh local Government ordinance 2001.
- To provide vision and direction fro efficient functioning of the Taluka Municipal Administration.
- To formulate strategies of development of municipal infrastructure and improvement of delivery of the Municipal service of the
Taluka.
- To oversee formulation and implementation of long term and annual Municipal Development programs.
- To oversee the delivery of services by the Taluka Municipal Administration and
implementation of the laws governing the Municipal service.
- To present the Budget proposal to the Taluka Council fro
approvel.
- To present a report in person on the performance to the Taluka Council at least once in six months.
- To supervise the utilization of the funds allocated to the Taluka Municipal Administration and to ensure their proper accounting.
- To establish and supervise the working of the internal audit Office and.
- To present Taluka Municipal Administration on public and ceremonial accessions.
- The Taluka Nazim shall ensure that the business of Taluka Municipal Administration is carried out in accordance with provisions of the ordinance and other laws for the time being in force. |
